The variation in color allows decor with both warm and cool colors as with warm wood and gray walls furnishings.Great for transitioning and updating. It keeps the eye moving. The rug itself is light, thin and soft under foot but it doesn t feel or look cheap.. A nonslip rug pad will make it feel more plush if you like to stretch out on the floor . If you are going for a lighter feel, this is it . I had a darker traditional rug before. I am enjoying the look of it but can t attest to its durability yet bc I have only had it for a few weeks with very little living on it. It is a cohesive article in the room to make everything pull together.
